Disney World: Cinderella's Castle

One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is Cinderella's Castle.

I have several different pictures of Cinderella's Castle that I would like to share.

As a little girl, did you dream about living in Cinderella's Castle? I did! When we would visit Disney (which was every year on a field trip because we lived in Central Florida) I would see her castle and just imagine all the fun things she was doing inside. Ahhhhh ... sweet memories.

I had hoped to get a great picture of us in front of the castle to use on our Christmas cards this year. That didn't happen. We did get some "okay" pictures, but not one I want to use on our cards.

A family standing near us asked me to take their family picture ... they reciprocated and took ours as well.

I love this picture of Walt Disney with Mickey Mouse standing in front of the castle.

Here's another try at that "great" picture ... lol.

And here is the castle all lit up at night ... isn't it beautiful??

May your day be filled with dreams and sweet memories ...

Disney World: The Parade

We were lucky enough to see three parades while at Disney.

First up was the Dance Party parade, then the mid-day parade and then the Main Street Electrical parade (do they still call it that?) at night.

Here's a few pictures from the mid-day parade.

Mike and Griffin waiting for the parade to come by.

We only saw Mickey & Minnie Mouse when they were on the floats in the parade. We did see several other characters throughout the park, but I think Mickey & Minnie pretty much stay in Toon Town.

Here we see the Aladdin float going past us.

Griffin loved the music, the dancing and the characters.

Disney World: The Rides

Today we continue with our trip to Disney World ...

After meeting Daisy Duck we took a train ride over to Mickey Mouse's Toon Town

Our family entering Toon Town ... this is where they have the rides mostly for the young ones.

This has always been a favorite ride of mine at Disney. Mike and Griffin riding the race cars. He LOVED this ride.

We then ventured over to the Dumbo ride ...

After the Dumbo ride Griffin wanted to play in the water area near Ariel's grotto. I did take his bathing suit, but decided he wouldn't get "that" wet playing there. Well, he did. He got soaked. But that was okay because I had brought him a change of clothes. It was a great way for him to cool down. You'll notice in other pictures he's wearing blue camo short and a blue shirt.

Mike and Griffin riding the Tea Cups ...

We all rode the Rocket Ships ... Griffin and I rode together on this one. He was in control of the "ship" and kept us airborne the entire time.

This is the Ferry Boat Ride that goes around Tom Sawyer's Island. It was a fun way to cool down. In all my times at Disney World ... I think this was the first time I've ever ridden it. Griffin LOVED it.

This is a picture of the boys on Thunder Mountain Railroad. I was in the seat ahead of them.

Griffin loved all of the rides ... but his favorites were Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. He is fearless. These are adult rides, folks. He was tall enough to ride both of them. He wanted to ride them over and over.

I have a picture of us on Splash Mountain that Disney took ... but I can't lay my hands on it this morning.

Disney World: Meeting Daisy

We are home and I finally have time to do some real blogging.

Over the next few days I will be sharing our visit to Walt Disney World ... so please bear with me and enjoy!

We took Griffin to Disney World when we were in Florida. This is the first time he's been and he absolutely LOVED it! He loved the characters, the rides, the parades, the colors ... the fun!

Griffin's favorite Disney character is Daisy Duck. The first time he showed any real interest in her is right after he had watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and he told me he loved Daisy because she had "boobts". Mmmmm ... I thought. What exactly does he mean. So I asked him and he said you know Mommy she has pink boobts on her feet ... lol. He liked her pink high heeled shoes. It made me think about the "boobts" thing.

Anyway ... as soon as we entered the park who did we see right there on Main Street USA ... Daisy Duck!

After waiting in line for over an hour ... Griffin finally had a chance to meet Daisy.

Daisy was so sweet, all girly and pink. Griffin got all shy when it was time to actually go up and meet her. It was worth the wait. What a sweet memory.

Goofy was right beside her but after waiting in line for over an hour to meet Daisy we decided to catch the train to Mickey's Toontown ... follow our adventure in Toontown tomorrow.

Grandma's Hands.

When we were a Bett's house she was helping Griffin to wash his hands.

The difference in the young and mature caught my eye and I decided to take a picture.

I just love this picture ... it's just so sweet.

Grandma and Griffin washing up.

Happy Sunday.

P.S. I've recently added Google Ads to my blog on the right side. Just wanted to make a little mention in case you see an ad you might like to click on (daily?) it does generate a little revenue for me.

We Are Home.

We arrived home from our two week Florida vacation about 11:00 last night.

We had SO much fun while we were there.

Between spending alot of time with family, enjoying the sunshine and visiting Disney World ... it was just awesome!

Mike and our friends Fred & Judy also flew out to their Texas farm for a few days for some turkey hunting.

I have lots and lots of pictures I will be sharing ... so get ready!

Today Griffin has his final soccer game ... he's looking forward to it. He's been out of school for three weeks and he's SO ready to go back on Tuesday. First he had a week off for spring break and then our two week vacation.

We enjoyed our vacation ... but we are happy to be home!

The Chair.

I had the honor of going yard selling with the seasoned yard sellers Bonnie & Jerome on Saturday.

I found some cute things and I believe I spent maybe a total of $6.00 ... I'll have to share my finds in another post.

I found this cute old chair for only $1.00 ... I thought Griffin would like it.

Jerome asked if he could keep it for a little bit and make something for Griffin and of course I said YES!

This is the finished chair ... isn't it darling? He painted it John Deere green, put some John Deere stickers on it ... and I think Bonnie painted his name on it. (Bonnie correct me if I'm wrong).

Griffin LOVES it ... it will be a darling addition to his bedroom.

I love that he has this cute chair his aunt and uncle so lovingly made him.

Downtown Disney: Part Two

We were lucky enough to visit Downtown Disney twice.

This visit was so much fun with
Uncle Jerome and Aunt Bonnie!

Here we find Griffin posing with a statue painted by Rosie O'Donnell. Though we share different political views, I've always been a fan of the "nice" Rosie ... this statue was really neat.

This is the marker on the bottom of the statue showing it was created by Rosie.

Bonnie, Jerome, Griffin and Buzz Lightyear ... "to infinity and beyond"!

Griffin and me with Mr. Potato Head ...

For "lunch" we had a yummy ice cream at the Ghiradelli ice cream shop ... doesn't Bonnie look pretty? I love this picture of her.

Uncle Jerome enjoying his ice cream sundae.

Had to share another picture of this potted plant area with three of my favorite people.

Of course we had to hit a scrapbook store, Scrappy Boutique while we were in Orlando. They had some cute things I've never seen before. The boys sat on a bench outside while Bonnie and I shopped.

We had such a GREAT day ... thanks Bonnie and Jerome for making it fun!
