Touring USS North Carolina - Wilmington, North Carolina

We toured the USS North Carolina today. It was interesting to tour the ship and learn historical facts about the battleship. It was an incredible reminder of all of the young men who served on this ship (and elsewhere) and so bravely fought for our freedom.

4H - Fireflies & Bioluminescence

Tonight during the 4H firefly presentation, the speaker ask what makes a firefly light up. Griffin raised his hand and said, bioluminescence. He was right! When I asked him how he knew that, he said he just knew. Perhaps he will be an entomologist! (He's holding the tiny firefly bottle he made tonight)

Hiding & Finding Rocks

When we were at the park hiding rocks, Griffin and Christian found these. They were so excited! They kept the dragonfly and HELP rocks and rehid the other ones. #gvarocks

Good-bye Fort Griffin

June 20, 2007 ~ Mike and Griffin put the final screws in his playset. Almost 10 years to the day, Griffin took his first swing, with Daddy pushing him, and we decided to call it Fort Griffin. We've had 10 years of wonderful memories - kids climbing, swinging, sliding, building, eating popsicles, blowing bubbles, laughing, giggling and growing. I've shared a few of those memories here. Today was moving day and Fort Griffin is going to another family. I know they will enjoy it as much as we have. ❤️
