Griffin

Fall is my favorite time of the year ~ driving to school earlier for Griffin's class party I was amazed at the stunning beauty God created all around us in the colors of the leaves. When we got home I had to take a picture of Griffin in 'our' tree.

We had a 'Pumpkin Party' at our house on Halloween. I designed a photo booth for our guests and it was SO much fun!

Griffin dressed up as Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty for Halloween this year!

Pumpkin Party 2013

We had a pumpkin themed gathering at our house tonight ~ it was so much fun watching the kids have a good time. My favorite moments of the evening were watching the kids bobbing for apples, 'treating' around the yard as adults had spaced themselves so the kids could move from one area to the other in the yard to collect candy and then the kids meeting up on the front porch to trade candy.

Library Friday

Love how excited Griffin is when he gets off the bus on 'Friday Library Day'. He's so excited to share with me the books he has chosen. They are normally animal books. He reads the books all the way home on the bus. When he gets home he wants to immediately start drawing animals from the books. Right now he's drawing a puffer fish ~ love my boy!!

Conversation About Girls

Interesting conversation with Griffin last night as we watched a commercial and we heard the word sexy.

Griffin: Mommy that's not a good word. Girls don't like to be called that or the other word

Me: What other word?

Griffin: You know.

Me: What?

Griffin: H-O-T (he spelled it)

Me: You are right, girls like to be called smart, funny and maybe even pretty. But we shouldn't focus on the way someone looks physically. We should focus on their heart.

Griffin: Yeah, that's much better than those other words

Me: {loving my son}
