Super Bubbles!

Today I introduced Griffin to 'Super Elastic Bubble Plastic' I loved this when I was a little girl!! I found a package when shopping earlier. I can't believe Griffin had never blown plastic bubbles!! It is fun introducing him to some of my childhood memories! In our house, it was a BIG deal to get something like this!

Homeschool Project - Orchids!

Griffin has wanted an orchid for awhile now. When I stopped into Lowe's I picked up a small one for him. I told him if he could take good care of it, he would be able to get the larger blue one that he really wants. So, this is a new homeschool project for him.

Fun Sunday With Friends!

Faith.

Yesterday when we were leaving Hobby Lobby, Griffin was waiting out front for me, with his head down. As we were walking to the car, he asked me if I knew why he had his head down. I told him I didn't. He told me he was praying for someone to come over and ask him what he was doing and if he was okay. He said when they did, he could tell them he was praying and maybe he could tell them about Jesus.

I'm comforted in knowing Jesus lives in our son's heart, and through Him, he is consumed with boldness to share Jesus with other people.

I'm so thankful God has layed it on our friend, Chris's heart to lead the class our family has been attending at church. 'Tell Someone: You Can Share The Good News', is a wonderful series of lessons about sharing the gospel, anywhere and at anytime. I pray we will all have opportunities to share the Good News with others, on a daily basis.

The Pickle Barrel

We took a ride through the countryside with the windows down ~ fields are greening and trees are flowering already! 🌸🌳 Now, we are trying a new country cooking restaurant in town. Their food is delicious and Griffin gives their iced tea two thumbs up!

Field Trip: Ice Cream

We looked all day for ice cream when we were in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania - we finally found ice cream at Mineral Shakes!

Field Trip - Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania

We briefly visited the Fredericksburg Battlefield Center/Museum, Spotsylvania Battlefield area and Spotsylvania County Museum. It is incredible how many historical sites are near us! We look forward to going back to each of these locations to spend more time.

Field Trip: Ferry Farm - George Washington's Childhood Home

Today we attended Archaeology Day at Ferry Farm - George Washington's Boyhood Home.

It was an interesting site to visit. We heard about the archaeology site and how they are rebuilding the home. The kids played graces, a game from Washington's era. We saw artifacts in the museum and saw an interesting drama that combined characters from the 1700s and today.

Childhood Memories.

I'm standing in the spot our pool was located, up until a couple of months ago. It's a beautiful day and I'm picking up the yard. The memories I'm finding scattered within the gravel and under the rocks are precious. These are things a beautiful childhood are made of.

Field Trip - Agecroft Hall

Fun and educational field trip to Agecroft Hall today. The kids made a satchet and learned why they were worn, played a game of merels from the time period and we took a tour of the house and gardens.

Agecroft Hall is a Tudor manor house built in England in the 15th century, and was originally located in the Irwell Valley in Agecroft, Pendlebury, in the historic county of Lancashire, England. Thomas C. Williams, Jr. of Richmond, Virginia, purchased Agecroft Hall during the Country Place Era in the 1920s. Agecroft was dismantled, crated, transported across the ocean, and reconstructed in Richmond's Windsor Farms neighborhood in Richmond.

Lego Club
