The Falcon Is Fixed.

I have a very patient husband. The other day Griffin dropped his Millenium Falcon and it broke into 1,254 pieces. {well, practically} Mike sat down with him today for over 3 hours to repair the damage. He has far more patience than I do. They just finished putting it back together. Thank you Mike for being such a wonderful Daddy to Griffin.

Yum ~ Broccoli Cheese Soup

We went to Kroger yesterday to get the ingredients to make The Pioneer Woman's broccoli soup.

When we got there we found their fresh gourmet "Broccoli Soup With Aged Cheddar" on sale over in the deli section. After thinking about it for maybe a second we decided to get that instead.

Good choice!
It was delicious!!
Griffin had never had broccoli soup before.

We even served it in bread bowls and topped it with fresh sharp cheddar cheese. It's the first time since his surgery that Griffin really ate much of anything.

Our family definitely gives it a big thumbs up!!

Griffin's Artwork

Griffin's artwork was on display in the Goochland Elementary hallway.

They Love The Trampoline.

I think these guys enjoy Griffin's trampoline as much as he does. Thinking about getting G a full size one for his birthday and the boys can enjoy the little one to wrestle and lounge on.

Griffin's Millineum Falcon.

Griffin just now completed his Lego Millennium Falcon! All 1,254 pieces ~ give or take a few pieces. He's so happy! It took alot of patience and time to get it together. Great job, Buddy!

Merry Christmas 2012

Christmas 2012 ~ this guy had a wonderful Christmas morning!!

Griffin Gave Me The Most Thoughtful Gift

This is the most wonderful and thoughtful gift I have ever received. Griffin goes to Awana at our church and the children earn Awana bucks for various things (knowing bible verses, wearing their uniform, having their bible, etc.) Last week they had the Awana store where the children could spend their Awana bucks to buy gifts for their family members. My sweet and thoughtful little boy bought this for me. Last week when we were in the car he had told me he had bought me the most beautiful thing in the world. He was right. It is THE most beautiful thing I've ever seen and I will treasure it forever.

Surgery For Our Guy.

We are home and Griffin made it through surgery like a champ. He had his adnoids and tonsils removed. He's resting on the couch with Daddy and watching the first Star Trek movie. He's staying hydrated by eating lots of popsicles, drinking water and eating baby bites of applesauce.

Visiting The Real Santa.

Griffin went to see Santa at a magical event organized by our friend Cyndi. Griffin was able to visit with the Santa he had visited the first three years of his life. Our Santa spent quality time with each child and shared with them the true meaning of Christmas. The children were unaware our Santa is very ill. I'm so grateful for the time with this wonderful gentleman.

Guest Reader & A Treat!

Today I am guest reader in Griffin's class. I decided to take them a little treat.

Goochland Bulldogs Ornament

I was absolutely delighted to create these Christmas ornaments for our local Goochland Bulldogs football team! Last weekend they won the State Championship! We are SO very proud of our Bulldogs!! Each ornament was personalized with the player's name and jersey number. The players and coaches will each receive one as a gift. Thank you GES for allowing us to use the laminator! It will allow the keepsake to stay protected for years to come.

The Lego Builder

Who needs to buy one of those {too} expensive Lego kits when this guy can use his imagination and the Legos he already has to create this super cool Star Wars AT-ST Walker. He created this from memory. The third photo is an image I found online to show what it looks like. He amazes me.

Clara's Birthday ~ Strawberry Shortcake

This is the first banner set I ever made!
I made it for a very sweet friend of ours that was turning 2 years old

I created a custom handmade banner and confetti for sweet Clara!

Eating Breakfast Like A Champion

Wouldn't you like to be able to sit and eat breakfast like this? I don't know how he manages to squat on the stool and be comfortable enough to eat. BTW, he's dressed for his last YMCA swim day today. He wears his swimsuit under his clothes to school. I wouldn't normally allow my 7-year-old to wear a swimsuit to school in December. {But after posting the picture I realized I *am* willing to use an Easter dish cloth in December, LOL}

Christmas Celebration at the YMCA

Wow ... what a terrific evening we had at the Goochland Family YMCA! The YMCA and the Goochland County Parks & Recreation collaberated on a really great community event. The annual Christmas tree lighting was just wonderful!! The children could create a number of different crafts, decorate a cookie, enjoy hot chocolate and even make s'mores! This is the "Cookies For Santa" plate Griffin created. The rain never stopped and never did the FUN!!
