Fabulous Friends!

Look who's here ...

Our friends Heidi, Ryan and Evan are with us for a few days and we couldn't be happier!

This is the only picture I got yesterday because my camera battery died.

We went to the Children's Museum and the boys had a good time discovering, playing and getting wet and sandy in the "Back Yard".

It was great fun!

Can't wait to see what adventure we get into today.

Look What's Blooming ...

... at Missy Made It!

It seems I have a little gardening theme going on at my blog this week ... so today I will continue with a little gardening ... but this time it's paper gardening ... as in ...
Paper Flowers!

I love these white paper flowers with a touch of butter yellow on them. I don't know why ... maybe it's the southern girl in me ... but they remind me of grits and butter.

Here's a closer look ... they are a little bit dimensional.

My paper flowers can be used in scrapbooking, cardmaking, place cards, gift bags & tags ... you could even give them as a gift!!

How about checking them out by clicking
here ... where you can find them in my Ebay Store.

A little look at what's blooming over there ...

Wishing you a happy, happy day!

My Little Garden.

Around Mother's Day we decided to plant a little vegetable garden.

We had just moved the lawn mower shed so that was a great spot to do our planting.

I didn't realize the gravel was SO thick in this spot ... it took forever to remove the gravel so we could do our planting here.

Of course when you have such a cute helper ... it makes things much easier!

Mike and Griffin are figuring out the best placement of our vegetables.

And here we have our vegetable garden ... in the front row we have two tomato plants, green beans and bell pepper. In the back we have a watermelon plant, zucchini and yellow squash.

The little zucchini plant was a little sad looking ... but she's coming along now.

I went out and took this picture of the garden this morning. The vegetable plants are just flourishing. Never mind the building materials behind them ... lol.

Our first bell pepper of the season ...

And we have tiny baby yellow squash ... it was fun watching these grow. They are so neat attached to the big yellow flower blossoms.

I can't wait to make dishes using the vegetables from our garden!

This Little Tree Of Mine.

Griffin received a blue spruce sappling from preschool ...

He and Daddy decided to plant it in our front yard.

First they had to dig a hole ...

And then Griffin "gently" removed it from the container ...

They put it in the hole and surrounded it with potting soil.

This little sappling will one day grow big and tall in our front yard.

It will be fun watching it grow!

Paper Flowers.

I've been making paper flowers for about 12 years now.

I have always enjoyed making them.

The other day I had a dream about making some newly designed paper flowers and this is what I came up with ...

I have to say ... I am having sooooo much fun making these!!

These would be great for decorating a scrapbook page, card making, crafting, attach them to gift tags/bags or even place cards!

I've listed them HERE in my Ebay Store.

Happy Sunday!

The Dancey Dancey Show.

One of my favorite shows aired it's season finale on Tuesday night.

I love watching Dancing with the Stars. I've watched it from the very first season and it just gets better and better each time.

My two favorite dancers this time around was Melissa Rycroft and Gilles Marini. And I must say, though he wasn't the best dancer ... Ty Murray put a tug on the old heartstrings too.

Honestly, I was shocked ... SHOCKED! ... when Shawn Johnson was named the winner. It's not that she wasn't a good dancer, because she was. But Melissa and Gilles were both far more talented on the dance floor.

Oh well ... I guess it really does come down to fan votes.

Another of my favorite dancing shows (Griffin calls them my dancey dancey shows) is So You Think You Can Dance. It started last night and I've recorded it. Can't wait to see that.

Another thing I really loved about Dancing with the Stars this season is two So You Think You Can Dance contestants were pros on DWTS. Both Lacey Schwimmer and Chesie Hightower were previously on SYTYCD. I love that.

Anyway ... enough about my dancey dancey shows.

Hope you have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend.
