Green Eggs & Ham ~ The Video!

Soccer!

This past week Griffin started playing spring soccer ...

He's played with the YMCA for two seasons. This is the first time through the local Soccer Association. His coach is wonderful ... as is the coach's wife. Everyone on his team is in kindergarten ... which is perfect! He listened well, practiced, and he's learning to play the game. He was extremely excited! We are so looking forward to his first game April 2nd. Pop and Nana will be visiting and they will get to attend! Keep up the GREAT soccer playing little man.

Sweet Neighbors.

We had a nice warm afternoon the other day and our sweet neighbors Shelby and Caden came over for a visit.

Everyone was wearing their green because it was St. Patrick's Day.

Our neighborhood has welcomed new families over the past two years ... and that is also bringing younger children to the neighborhood as well, which is wonderful because most of the other "kids" are graduating from high school and moving to college.

We are looking forward to warmer days so we can spend more time together!

Happy Birthday Thomas!

Griffin was invited to his friend Thomas' 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese

Griffin chose a toy he thought Thomas would like and we wrapped it up for the giving

Griffin LOVES going to Chuck E. Cheese ... he's all about the games!

And the rides are pretty fun too!

He loves Clifford the Big Red Dog and had to have his picture taken with him.

Thank you Thomas for including Griffin in your celebration!

He Lost His 2nd Tooth ... In The LEGOS!

For the past few days Griffin's tooth has been very loose and he couldn't wait for it to come out!
It finally did on Saturday morning!

See that little white speck in the lower right hand corner?
That's the tooth. It fell right out of his mouth and straight into the Lego box.

No worries ... Daddy retrieved it with a pair of tweezers.

He decided to write the Tooth Fairy a letter to ask her if she could possibly leave his tooth for him so he could take it to show-and-tell at school. The Tooth Fairy happily agreed to his request leaving his tooth, five dollars and a note at the bottom of his letter. He was SO happy!

Those Silly Leprechauns!

We saw the first one as we were coming down the stairs this morning ... what is that?

Could it be?

Why yes ... it's tiny green shamrocks!

Let's collect them and follow them to see where they lead us.

Well look at that ... it looks like those silly leprechauns have been up to some mischief. Leaving their tiny green shamrocks all around and turning over chairs!

We made our way over and what do we see?

More tiny green shamrocks and Griffin's cereal bowl and juice cup turned upside down with a spoon on top.

Mmmmm ... I wonder what's under that cup?

He lifted the cup to reveal a green St. Patty's Day cupcake all ready to eat!

Well, the rule in our house if a leprechaun should leave a cupcake for you to eat, you must eat it ... even if it's before breakfast. Of course you have to follow that with a healthy breakfast as well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Raggedies Are Back!

It's hard to believe it's been 14 years since I've been selling my handmade paper piecing online.

Over the years I've experimented with many different designs and ideas.

One of the first paper piecings I ever sold was a Raggedy Doll. It's been awhile since I've listed anything raggedy so I decided to create an updated version of an old friend.

This is my Custom Name Raggedy Doll Girl. She's available in my
MY EBAY STORE ~ WWW.MISSYMADEIT.COM.

You can also find my Custom Name Raggedy Doll Boy there too!

You can choose the name or phrase you would like printed on the circle as long as it will fit in the 1" space.

Party At The SPCA!

Griffin was invited to a birthday party at the local SPCA.

It was one of the coolest parties he has ever been invited to.

The kids all decorated a stuffed puppy with colored markers

Then they ran around the animal excercise room for a bit.

We then went to meet all the dogs and cats up for adoption. There sure were some cute ones there. We are SO ready for a dog ... we are on the look out for the perfect one for us.

It was back to the party room for birthday cake.

And then ...

The kids were instructed to sit in a circle because they were going to bring in some puppies! See that little chocolately brown puppy? I wanted to bring him home with us. He wasn't available for adoption until later this week. I was told I could put my name on a waiting list for him, however there were more than 100 names ahead of me waiting for a puppy. So, he didn't come home with us.

Griffin enjoyed playing with "chocolately's" brother ... he was a cutie too.

Thank you Kaitlyn for inviting Griffin to your party ... Happy Birthday sweet girl!

The Volcano.

Ever since we took our vacation to Washington State and visited Mount St. Helen, Griffin has been fascinated with volcanos. He LOVES studying them.

He received this wonderful volcano building kit for his birthday

Together he and Mike started putting it together

They had to actually "build" the volcano which was great fun

After it dried he painted it

Pretty cool paint job!

To make it erupt he put a little bit of baking soda in the volcano and then poured a bit of vinegar in it ... voila ...

His volcano erupts!

He decided he was going to name his volcano Mt. Griffin ... that's a pretty catchy name don't ya think?

Thank you A,C,H,Z,S & S for the great gift ... you rock!
