Didn't See It Coming

Cold Platform Ice Cream

After a couple of stops, and before heading home, we decided to try a new treat from Cold Platform Rolled Ice Cream. It was a treat just watching them make it!!

We learned rolled ice cream originated in Thailand in 2009. It is known as stir-fry ice cream in Thailand. The ice cream is made by pouring a base of sweet milk on an extremely cold (-31°) steel surface.

Japanese Steak House - International Dining

After bowling, we decided to experience lunch from another culture. We enjoyed a wonderful Japanese Hibachi meal. Martin, our hibachi chef, was fantastic! The kids enjoyed his incredible cooking talent! Sarah and I were so happy the kids all tried the shoyu onion soup, kanpai salad with sesame ginger and Griffin even ate the zucchini!

Had a great day with some sweet people! First up - bowling! You can definitely have fun and learn at the same time. Our research tells us, early bowling may have began in Egypt around 3200 BC.

Just A Regular Day

Thermal socks, flip flops, no jacket, and giant icicles ~ just a regular 20° day at our house.

Too Cold!

With the temperature reaching -4° (and colder!) these two just aren't ready to get out of bed. Right after this picture, Jasper actually put his head under the pillow.

It's freezing out, so he didn't mind splitting wood and filling up the porch wood rack. He's growing into such a wonderful young man.
