Winner & Ideas.

And the winner of the "Forever Girl" freebie give-a-way is ...
Jen in PA

Please email me your full name and mailing address to mgmh@aol.com and I will get your gift in the mail to you!

And you know ... I just LOVE when a customer shares an idea with me ...

The Cute As A Button Tear Bear on the right is my original design. A customer of mine liked her, but wanted the ribbons in a different color ... so I created the same bear on the left with turquoise ribbon instead of the green ribbon for her. And you know ... I'm loving her that way!

Of course ... I do have the one on the right in
MY EBAY STORE right now if you are interested in her!

My friend
SUE is having surgery today ... if you have a moment, would you please stop by her blog and share your well wishes with her? She's a pretty awesome lady!!!

Wishing you all a bright and sunny day!!

The Easter Bunny.

On Saturday Griffin and I visited with the Easter Bunny.

The local high school seniors were having an event to raise money for their All Night Senior Party. They had a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny and a yard sale. Griffin really had fun talking with the Easter Bunny!

Spring has sprung ... the trees are starting to flower and to me, it's one of the most beautiful times of the year! We have a bunch of fruit trees in our backyard that the previous owners planted. I really do not know what they are, but I think this one is a pear tree.

This is a closer look at the flower ... isn't it pretty?

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!

Tagged By Cecile.

I've been tagged by Cecile ...
I'm supposed to list 7 Random facts about me ...

7 Random facts about me-

1. I like HAMBURGERS, not CHEESE burgers ... HAMBURGERS ... that means when I order a HAMBURGER leave the cheese off (especially when I tell you too!) ... can you tell I had a moment today at the drive-thru?

2. When I drink coffee, I first add about 1/4 cup of 2% milk to my cup, then a splash of french vanilla cream, then the coffee ... it has to be in that order to get it right.

3. I drink Sweet 'N Low in my iced tea and Splenda in my coffee ... two differnt types of artificial sweetner ... how weird is that?? And ... when I drink iced tea ... it has to be BREWED ... no Nestea or litered tea for me, thank you very much.

4. I'm the "baby" in my family ... even though I'm 40 years old. My sister is 8 years older than me and my brother is 9 years older. I believe I was probably a "happy surprise" for my Momma and Daddy.

5. Okay ... this may be gross ... but I have oily hair. I have to wash my hair everyday ... and lately I've been on a quest for a shampoo remedy. I have looked at almost every single shampoo in the stores and NO ONE has shampoo for "oily hair" anymore ... it's nuts ... growing up there was always a bottle that said for "oily hair" ... not anymore ... they have it for brunettes, for blondes, for dry hair, for wavy hair, for curly hair, for damaged hair ... but not for OILY HAIR, dang it!!!

6. I really like to make people happy. I would much rather "do" for someone than for others to "do" for me. I have a really hard time receiving ... but I love to give. I've always been what I would call a "people pleaser", but as I get older I'm finding it easier to say no. No, No, No, No, NOOOOOOO I said. Just practicing.

7. I love my family ... I met the "man" of my dreams when I was only 17 years old. This year Mike and I will celebrate 23 years together on April 6 ... of course we'll be married 13 years out of those 23 years on April 8 as well. It's scary for me to think that possibly in 14 short years that Griffin may meet his future wife. I'm so lucky to have such a sweet son ... so, so lucky. I am one lucky girl (woman, ughh) to have such a wonderful family!

Hobby Lobby.

Not only did I get to spend some quality time with my wonderful husband, our sweet son and our amazing friends when we were in Danville ... I also got to do something I wanted to do ... ALL BY MYSELF!

Griffin is jumping for joy because ...

I was able to go to HOBBY LOBBY! We do not have a Hobby Lobby here ... and I got to go all by myself ... I was able to look at everything and spend the time I wanted to without interruptions! Rarely do I get to go anywhere by myself ... so believe me this was a treat!

As most of you probably know ... I LOVE PAPER ... and just look at all of this paper ... oh my gosh ... I was in HEAVEN!

And a rainbow of cardstock ... oh my!!

And get this ... all of their stickers were 50% off ... I stocked up!!!

And today ... I've added some new paper piecings to

Guess Who We Saw???

This past weekend Mike had to work out of town in Danville. So, Griffin and I decided to join him. It was great getting away, spending the night in the hotel and going to some of our favorite restaurants ... we were definately feeling a little pampered.

One of the BEST parts about going was seeing our friends Heidi, Ryan and Evan. They drove an hour and a half to come spend Saturday afternoon with us. We definately needed this!! We've missed our friends so, so much.

It was very rainy and windy, so we had to find something to do inside. Danville didn't have much to choose from ... so we chose ....

Finn.

So ... I'm going to blog a real blog soon ... but I just have to share that I'm a little sad right now.

I think my favorite fish Finn is going to cross the rainbow bridge by morning. Do fish cross the rainbow bridge or do they just swim under it?

He's at the top of the water and it looks to me like he's gasping for air. He is a big black molly with the most beautiful blue tail and fin. He's pretty much ruled the fish aquarium since we've had it. Out of the 10 fish we have in our aquarium, he's been my favorite since day one. Honestly, he and the red tipped shark are the only two that I've named. And I really do not care for the red tipped shark because as I see it ... he's a bully. I guess that's why I named him Deville. Deville ... Devil ... get it???

I named this beautiful fish Finn because of his beautiful blue fin ...

My husband and MIL both told me not to get too attached ... as fish do not live forever. But c'mon we've had Finn for only a little over a month ... sigggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Good Day.

Oh my goodness ... is Griffin swimming with the fishes??

LOL ... of course not ... I took this picture of him from the other side of the fish tank.

We are having friends over today for Keisha's 30th Birthday party. It's a cross between a playdate for the kids and a birthday celebration for Keisha. I thought alot about what to make for lunch and I finally decided on spaghetti. I thought that would be pretty easy and most everyone likes spaghetti.

Yesterday when I went to pick the cake up at the bakery, they told me they had made a mistake. I had ordered a 1/2 sheet cake ... but they made a full sheet cake. They gave it to me for the price of the 1/2 sheet cake ... but holy cow ... this thing is HUGE! I was hoping Keisha would have cake left over to take home to share with her family ... no worries about that now!!

We are looking forward to a fun filled day!

Look what' I've added to MY EBAY STORE today!!

Loving Target.

I'm pretty much a Walmart shopper ... I've just never really got into shopping at Target. But lately, things have changed. I've been to Target more in the last month than I've been there in five years.

Yesterday Griffin and I went to Target to pick up a gift for a friend's birthday. We walked out of there ... and you would have thought it was Griffin's birthday.

But seriously, every boy needs to be a little spoiled every once in a while ... right???

They had this really cool mini bubble blower. Had to have it.

And check out this way cool dump truck ... he has a metal Tonka dump trunk to play with inside ... but this one is plastic and we can leave it outside. Had to have it.

Then we saw these twirly light up thingies ... he had one from Christmas ... he calls it his snowstorm ... well, they had these Easter themed ones. Had to have them.

And of course every time we go there we have to stock up on our Target animal crackers. Definately had to have them.

When we got home, it was almost 70 degrees ... oh my gosh ... of course we had to stay outside to play with our (uhhhhmmmm I meant Griffin's) new toys!

He is LOVING this little bubble blower.

And I have a question for you ... is a salad still a salad when it consists of more pepperoni and cheese than lettuce????

Cute As A Button.

So ... yesterday was an interesting day.

It was warm outside ... that meant we could go outside! It was pretty awesome to spend some time outside in the yard just running around. That would be Griffin running and me running after him.

He didn't take a nap yesterday ... but get this ...

We were sitting watching Sesame Street and he fell asleep in my lap about 4:30. That just doesn't happen. I managed to get him upstairs and into his bed ... and you know what? That little booger slept the entire night through until 6:00 this morning. He is well rested.

I had hoped to get some more Paper Piecings and Tear Bears made yesterday ... but I wasn't feeling all that creative. I did get one Paper Pieicng made ...

I've just added this "Cute As A Button Tear Bear" to
MY EBAY STORE.

We are going to CMoR today ... and I'm hoping to be in a creative mood when we get home
.

Chaotic Mess.

Okay ... so I'm in confession mode today ...

My studio work area (read dining room table) was a mess!!

Between my punches, ribbons, glues, chalks, dies, inks, buttons, papers, scissors, pens, flowers, bits and pieces of bears and everything else imaginable ... it was just one HUGE mess!!

So ... yesterday ... I purged ... I put it all away ... where it's supposed to be and got organized. Unfortunately I do not have a picture after organizing it ... BUT ... I have to say ... I am feeling SOOO much better and more creative!!

When Griffin naps today ...

I'm ready to work!
