The RMBC Mission Team will begin their journey today. Please join me in prayer for the 32 men, women and youth as they travel to Nicaragua. Please pray for their strength and stamina both physically and spiritually. Pray for the great needs and ministries they will be part of. Pray for clarity about what God will have them do. Pray also for the people they will encounter while in Nicaragua.

Serving With Carpenters For Christ

Mike has been serving with Carpenters for Christ this past week. It has been a true blessing for our church, family and community.

Griffin was invited to serve along with his Dad. The past couple of days he has been delivering water, picking up the building site and being a 'go for' whatever is needed. I am so very thankful he's had this opportunity.

Missions - Brown Bag

Fun time packing brown bags with these young men, Lisa and MrMike last night. Looking over to the right, you see MrMike making the Christmas treats the kids added to the bags. And, I'm grateful for friends like Brian for noticing something needed to be done and he did it, so someone else didn't have to. I love our church family!

Jesus Is Sweeter Than Candy

When packing bags for the Brown Bag Backpack Ministry ~ the kids made a special treat of candy corn to add to the bags and attached this sweet sentiment to it. I love this ministry and it is an incredible privilege for our homeschool group to be apart of it.

Thankful.

This sun kissed, bug bitten, poison ivy flecked young man enjoyed his week at youth camp. As a mother, nothing makes me happier than knowing he is surrounded by adults and youth who fuel his faith and encourage his walk with Jesus Christ. 💙 #thankful

Camp Serve Goochland - Youth Mission Trip - 2016

The week of July 10 - 16 our family was blessed with the beautiful opportunity to serve our community at 'Camp Serve Goochland' our church's youth mission trip. The Lord blessed us in a mighty way and allowed us to work in different areas of the community, participate in bible study, worship and hear testimonies. The photographs below are in no certain order.

Griffin Found A Turtle!

Pastor Brian sent me this picture of Griffin with a turtle he found at the wood work site. He said they all must have walked past it 100 times, when Griffin saw it and picked him up.

Youth Camp ~ Day Two.

We are packing up to head out for our first day of serving the community with the Youth from church. I look over and I see my 'little' boy all ready to go. Where did my 'little' guy go?

A Lesson In Helping Others.

Griffin and I were blessed with a sweet lesson in helping others today. When a local teacher posted on a Facebook Mom's Group that she needed help, we decided it was something we could do. The 2nd grade classes at her school needed 52 pizza boxes to make their biography projects. We were asked to pick up the pizza boxes and deliver them to the school by the end of the day. When we volunteered to do this, the teacher then invited us into the classroom to show the kids how to fold the boxes.

When we arrived to pick up the boxes, the man was very nice and showed us how to fold the boxes. He even noted on a spare box, each fold Griffin needed to make on the box so he could remember how to do it.

When we got to the school for delivery, two students were waiting in the office to escort us to their classroom. It was so sweet! We were introduced to the class and they shared with us what they planned to do with the boxes. Then, Griffin showed the children how to fold the boxes.

I believe this was one of the sweetest experiences I have ever had! I am thankful for this opportunity to help these children and Griffin could be part of it!
