The Stepping Stone.

Mike and Griffin created a beautiful project together this weekend ...

What exactly can you make using a wooden box and colored stones?

Well ... let's add a little cement to the wooden box.

And then smooth it out ...

Put our hands in it ...

Add some colored stones ...

Voila ... instant stepping stone.

And this is THE most amazing, MOST beautiful stepping stone ever!

We plan to move this to the walking area in front of our front porch as soon as it gets good and set up. Mike and Griffin had so much making this fun project together ... and I have to say ... Griffin is quite proud of it.

That is really awesome. What a great project for the boys to do. And what a great heirloom for the family. I know you are all proud of that.

I love it! You could make a whole walkway - one stone for every year! :)

Great Idea!
Cole made one for me in Pre-K and I still have it. I cherish it with his little hand prints in it:)

I vaguely recall summer school crafts---recall making my dad a plaster of paris ashtray, which I had painted a garish red color glaze----hmm, now with smoking being such a sociall no no, guess its now 10 pound stepping stones---I KNOW Griffen is proud of it---you need to save it and give it to him on his first marriage anniversary---his wife will LOVE it!!

Hi there! Hey, that looks really cool! I just may hi-jack that idea for my side yard (less the hand prints...ok, maybe paw prints instead) :)

That was a great project for the guys. We poured a walkway from our porch a few years back and Katlyn did the same thing. Hand prints forever.
