Bass Pro-Shops: Outdoor World

A new Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World opened near us in Ashland/Richmond ...

We've been to the one in Orlando many times (when we lived in Florida) and we've also been to the one in Atlanta. I think Mike has been to the one in Nashville too. The one near us is HUGE and just gorgeous inside!

I thought I would share some pictures of our visit.

Welcome to Outdoor World ...

I the interior ... it's so rustic!

They also have a Nascar section ... mostly related to Marti Truex Jr. and I think I saw some Dale Jr. stuff in there too

And a fudge shop too ... not only did they have fudge, they had other candies, wonderful smelling candles, gifts ... I was in heaven. It was just SO pretty!

They even have a restaurant, the Islamorada Fish Company. We had lunch there, and it was AMAZING! The service was great and the food was delicious! I had a catfish sandwich which was absolutely perfect. Mike had a buffalo burger and he said it was delicious. Griffin had one of his favorite, corn dog nuggets and the way he scarfed them down I would say they were pretty good too!

There were so many toy choices ... Griffin had a hard time deciding on what he wanted

They have this huge indoor fish tank that is just loaded with fish. This picture is kind of hard to see, but it's pretty amazing. They also have a water fall you walk under when you are walking upstairs to the second level

Griffin discovered one of the MANY wild life vignettes ...

They even have an indoor target range ... Mike and Griffin enjoyed playing around with that

This is a picture of one of the many beautiful lights ... it was so detailed and just gorgeous!

We had a great time ... if you live nearby, it's a great place to go!

Well I can see why I haven't heard from you in a couple of days....you were lost at Bass Pro Shop. I thought ours in Orlando was huge but your's definitely has ours beat. A fudge shop AND a restaurant. That's what I call one-stop shopping. I'm glad you all had a great time.

WOW We have a brass pro in Hampton, but it is not nearly as hudge as this one. I didn't know they had restaurants in some of them.

We could spend the whole day in there!

If your paper piercing biz gets to boring for ya, you have the knack for writing travelogs. I never here of Pro-bass stores but then not sure we even have bass in our lakes out here. Looks like quite the fun store.

looks gorgous - I wish we had something like that near where we live - there costco? not wuite as rustic.
So the question is, do you prefer target, where you saw those owl goodies to go in your giveaway, or this new place?..

I like the idea of the fudge shop :)

I think I went to one while in Missouri years ago and I've been to the Atlanta and Savannah ones.
I like all the camping stuff and miss going camping with my parents when I was little. Maybe someday I can take my kids camping!

You were right Missy...there is one here in Nashville. I was just at the Opry Mills Mall over the weekend and walked right past it. If Frank had been with me we would have spent hours in what he calls "A Big Boys" toy store. lol
I will have to check it out next time I'm at the Mall..don't know if it has the Fudge Shop or Resturant, I'll let ya know!
