This post shows a date of Monday 6/23 ... that's because I added the pictures yesterday, however I wrote the post this morning. This IS my Tuesday post.
Both mornings over this past weekend Griffin climbed out of his crib.
We knew the day would come when we would turn his crib into the toddler daybed version of his bed ... we just thought we might have a little longer in the crib.
We figured since he was climbing out of it anyway ... it would be safer to go ahead and change it over. Eventually we will turn into into the twin bed version of the bed ... but for now the toddler daybed will do just nicely!
Our baby will no longer sleep in the crib ...

We thought it would be a good idea to lower the mattress as far as it would go ...
And doesn't he look proud in his "big boy bed"?
I was nervous about him sleeping in the bed last night without any kind of rails up. I thought he might fall off of the bed.
He actually did really, really well. He only got up once right after we said our goodnights. Mike went back up and snuggled him in again and he didn't get up again until about 5:45 this morning when he came in and jumped in our bed.
I'm soooo proud of him ... our sweet "little big boy" as Grandma calls him.

Cute, at least if he DOES fall out, it's not a far drop. You're very lucky to have made it this long with the crib honestly!
Congrats on your win. I know you'll have fun with your prize. I have to agree with Jennifer...I'm surprised he stayed in the crib that long. How wonderful that he has his own "big boy" bed. He really is growing fast. Love you guys.

Congratulations (I guess the boys can't call him Baby G anymore?!) We have a rail if he ends up needing it, but it sounds like he had a good transition :-)
Congrats on your win! Wish my little girl was sleeping in her crib...at least our crib turns into a full size bed...one day I'll get her out of our bed! :)
Today a big boy bed- tomorrow he will be off to high school. Enjoy these days. Trust me when I say that all you have to do is blink and 12 years pass before your eyes.
awwww jeez----lose the damn ruffles on the bed---ya want griffen to get confused over his sexuality----(on the other hand if it saves ya from having to dust under the bed, what the heck)
I had to take Zach out of his crib when he was two years old. He started to crawl out. That is very scary when they do that.

It was easy for Bob to go from a crib to a bed..he literly "shook" his crib till it fell apart! He would stand on the mattress and hold that bar and shake with all his might! lol...little goober
