We hosted a Halloween bonfire at our house - it was such a fun night with friends! Trick or treating in the woods is the way to go ~ just look for the glow necklaces.

Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character Day
It is dress like your favorite book character today at school. Since Captain Underpants was a no go he opted for Snoopy.

Fourth Grade Report Card
Report cards came home today and this guy earned 4 A's and a B. He has worked very hard this grading period and it reflects in the grades he has earned. We appreciate the tutoring his teacher provided at the beginning of the school year, it certainly helped make a difference. As a Momma that knows the struggles he has had in Math, the A he earned makes me so happy for him. Well done sweet boy, well done.

Assembly With Mr. Beasley
Mr. Beasley is one of the best things about GES! He is Griffin's Reading, Language Arts and Science teacher. He teaches the children various things with the songs he writes. Griffin is at the bottom right beside the girl with a pony tail.
Bonfire With The Family
Impromptu bonfire results in roasted hotdog dinner outside and apple yummyness cooking up in the Dutch oven over the hot coals.
Firewood
Fall ~ my favorite time of the year! My men are splitting & stacking firewood and have the burn pile burning. I'm 'fall cleaning' and trying to get more organized.

Griffin's 4th Grade Class Treat
Halloween treat Griffin will share with his class. Instead of making goody bags I thought they might enjoy a giant lollipop. I finished it by tying a custom tag with curly ribbon to each one. {I found the giant lollipops at Dollar Tree}

4th Grade Field Trip - Jamestown Settlement
Today we went on a field trip with Griffin's 4th grade class to the Jamestown Settlement in Williamsburg. We enjoyed learning the history of the first settlement in the US.

YMCA Banner Cake
The YMCA contacted me about designing and decorating an area to promote their birthday party program! Since we love the Y so much and we've enjoyed celebrating Griffin's last three birthday parties there, the answer was YES!! The first two things that come to mind when planning a party is the venue (the Y of course!) and the cake. One of the highlights of a birthday party at the Y is an hour of pool time for the party goers. So, I made a paper cake with a water theme. The last photo is the bare bones of what I've come up with so far ~ I will be adding photos, party hats, noise makers, confetti and such.
My First Vinyl'd Pumpkin
So, this is my latest attempt with vinyl. I think it took me longer to take the photo than it actually did to vinyl the pumpkin. It's not perfect ~ 'cuz pumpkins are bumpy ya'll. mmmmmmmmm ~ what else can I vinyl?

Orange Hue
Looking out this morning, it was orange outside! It's looks orange ~ not just the leaves but an orange hue + glow to the sky. It's absolutely beautiful!! Griffin said it must be a highlighter day.
