First Day Of 7th Grade - In Florida!

It's Griffin's first official day of 7th grade. The public schools started classes today, however he is in Florida at Grammy Camp. He's still learning AND having fun on the beach in Ormond Beach!!

Our Farmhouse Table!

Our wonderful CHARLESTON find ~ a farmhouse table with four chairs!! Y'all, Mike found this at Goodwill for $49.99. We've been looking everywhere for a farmhouse table and chairs and this one fell in our lap when we were on vacation! Though it's not exactly what we wanted, we couldn't pass up this deal! We loaded it up in the camper and brought it home with us! Now, I just have to clean it up a little. And, I am still going to have that wallpaper peeling party soon, so I can paint the kitchen!!

Angel Oak - Charleston, SC

Mike and I went to the Angel Oak Tree on John's Island today. It was spectacular!
A little info ~ Angel Oak is a Southern live oak located in Angel Oak Park on Johns Island near Charleston, South Carolina. The tree is believed to be around 400 years old. It stands 66.5 ft tall, measures 28 ft in circumference, and produces shade that covers 17,200 square feet. Its longest branch distance is 187 ft in length.

Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve - Charleston, SC

It was a beautiful day to visit the Morris Island Lighthouse and the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve.

Dinner On Shem Creek - Charleston, SC

Ocean Fishing In Charleston, South Carolina

Mike's 50th Birthday!

Happy 50th birthday, Michael! You are the most wonderful husband and father! You are so selflessly giving of yourself each and every day to those you know and those who are in your life for a day. The Lord has given you the ability to touch the lives of so many, and in that, you are a beacon of light for Him. With each passing day, I am more grateful for marrying such an incredible man. This journey we call life has been quite the adventure and I'm so thankful we have been through it together. I love you!! Happy birthday my sweet!!

Touring USS North Carolina - Wilmington, North Carolina

We toured the USS North Carolina today. It was interesting to tour the ship and learn historical facts about the battleship. It was an incredible reminder of all of the young men who served on this ship (and elsewhere) and so bravely fought for our freedom.
