Griffin: Author & Illustrator
Tidied up the bookcase and added a new author to the shelf today. Griffin is writing an illustrated book (in the Wimpy Kid genre) with an original character named Jim. He created Jim several years ago and he is present in many short stories and iPad filmed videos. 'Rise of the Elites' will be his first action packed, full length book. This young man of ours has quite the imagination!

Hands On Learning Experiences.
I love how we are studying the history of newspapers and we are discussing Benjamin Franklin. It is a privilege to have the ability to travel and have hands on learning experiences as we did a few weeks ago in Philadelphia. This is the passage way in which Benjamin Franklin walked from his home to work each day.

Mom, listen to this ... I must hear that a dozen times a day. Each time he says it, he will share a fascinating fact, a funny part of a book, or just about anything else he's reading. And I ❤ it!!
