Over the years friends have commented about the pictures I post of Griffin here on my blog.
Many of the comments made have said how he's always smiling in the pictures I post.
Today I thought I would share with you exactly how we go about getting that "perfect" picture to post here on my blog.
Okay ... so I would consider THIS to be the "perfect" picture of him in his sunglasses.
Cute is he? =)
Well, we finally achieved this cute picture after we experienced the following pictures.
The glasses upside down look.
The it's a joke look.
The Tom Cruise smile look.
The thumbs up I'm a cool dude look.
Good thing I have a digital camera isn't it? =)

Bunk Beds!
Back in June 2008 you may recall Griffin graduated from his crib to his "big boy bed on THIS POST
Well he was getting taller and just about to outgrow his "big boy" bed
So, it was time for Daddy and Griffin to dismantle it and get a new bed!
After a couple of hours of following directions, putting everything together and a little Mickey Mouse'n around by Griffin ...
His bunk beds are finally together!
He snuggled in for the evening and enjoyed a peaceful sleep in his new bed.
He was SO ready for a new bed and enjoys it very much!

Night Riders.
The other night I wanted to go for a walk ... Griffin wanted to swing and Mike wanted to water the garden.
So, I took off for a short walk all by myself.
As I was coming back up the road I was met with two bright lights and two handsome boys riding in the buggy ...
We decided to take a little ride down to the fields and it was just beautiful! The moon was glowing and the colors were absolutely breathtaking.
It's moments like this I live for.

Silly Socks Day.
It's the first theme day at Griffin's school today.
The letter of the week is "S" so they are having "Silly Socks Day".
He took some of his favorite Transformer stickers and put them on cardstock. Then he cut them out. I then sewed them on his socks along with some silly ribbons sticking up.
There you have them ... silly socks!

BBQ At Our House!
We've had alot of fun over the past few months ... I just haven't had alot of time to blog our fun times. So now, I'm taking the time to blog them.
Labor Day weekend we had a BBQ at our house.
I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends. Carol and Heidi are very dear to my heart. It was great having them here with their families.
Evan, Sam, Ryan and Griffin enjoying their lunch ...
Our buddy Grayson giving a double thumbs up!
Our good friends Melinda and Leonard joined the festivities.
The kids used the buggy as a climbing toy ...
The master BBQ'er himself ... my dear sweet husband Mike.
The kids enjoyed cooling off in our redneck pool ...
Heidi took all the kids for a ride around the yard.
Thank you everyone for a GREAT time!!

Field Day Of The Past 2010.
We had such a fun Saturday at Field Days of the Past ... it's the first time we've stayed all day. Whew ... we had alot of fun things to experience ... so here goes!
We always watch the tractor pulls first. It's a fun way to start our day and we have fair food for lunch while we enjoy the pulls.
Isn't he getting big? It's so hard to believe this is Griffin's 6th time to enjoy Field Days!
Griffin LOVES the big slide ... he road it half a dozen times.
Mike and Griffin always ride the ferris wheel together ... it's a tradition. They are way up top in the yellow car.
When the boys were on the ferris wheel Griffin kept telling Mike he wanted to ride the above ride next. So, they did. He's a very adventurous boy. Well ... let's just say it's the one and only time our little guy wanted to ride it. We saw several friends after they rode it and he would point to the ride and say "That is not a good ride, it's scary". It was a good learning experience. =)
Griffin liked the Fun House too ... he said it was like doing Wipeout!
Riding high in the airplane.
Griffin loves dragons ... and he enjoyed riding the Dragon Roller Coaster.
The boys riding the Bumper Cars!
Just have to share this picture of an antique John Deere ice cream maker. Cool huh?
They had this antique wagon filled with corn kernals the kids could play in.
Riding a horse ... giddy on up!
One of the many fun hands-on exhibits was this one by The Cowboy from The Cowboy Church. The kids could brand a piece of wood with his help.
His final branded product ... we plan to frame it and put it in his bedroom.
There are so many fun exhibits, rides and things to do. This was one of my favorite decorations.
What a fun day ... can't wait until next year!

Time For Paper Piecing!
Now that Griffin is in kindergarten I have time to be creative!
Fall is just around the corner so I have pumpkins and fall leaves on my mind.
Today I've added the first Pumpkin Teddy Bear Basket of the season to my Ebay store.
This is the version using the bow for a girl. The bow is included however it is not attached in case you would like the teddy bear to be a boy.
Here's the boy version without the bow.
You can find this cute paper piecing in my Ebay store. I am starting it in the auction listing at only one penny!
