Water Colors.

Griffin received a very special surprise package in the mail from Grandma ...

When he saw the package he asked me if it was Daddy's birthday present (Mike's birthday is Thursday). I told him no, it was for him and it was from Grandma. He was sooooo happy!

Included in the package was a Cars movie (because Gma knew his was getting worn), crayons, markers and water color paints.

He loves to paint, so of course he wanted to paint right away.

I have to say ... I love water color paints. They are so much easier than those little paints that come in the cups ... easier to paint with ... and easier to clean up.

Our little artist at work. Check out his eyelashes ... what I wouldn't do for those myself.

This is his artistic creation ... a rainbow.

I asked him if he wanted to send it to Grandma and he said no, he wanted to hang it on his art wall.

So Grandma ... I am framing it for you here on my blog ... you can print it out and hang it in your office.

Thank you for such a wonderful, colorful gift.

What a great gift. And Griffin is so good at painting. Remember when my kids used to paint in the backyard? Those were some fun times. I"m sure Griffin would love to paint Grandma her own picture...maybe today.
