Easter Sunday.

Today we enjoyed a a beautiful Resurrection Sunday service at church! We loved hearing the message delivered by Pastor Brian and the beautiful songs by the choir and worship team. It was a true blessing to gather together with our church family, to praise and worship our resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

In the afternoon we invited friends over for food, fellowship, an egg hunt and games. It was SO much fun!!

Pink Velvet Bird's Nest Cupcakes For Easter!

Today we made these pink velvet bird's nest cupcakes for Easter. We added the edible grass for the nests (found it at Target) and M&M candies for the eggs.

When we were in town, I was able to coax my very reluctant 11-year-old to stand with the Easter bunny for a photograph.

Coloring Easter Eggs

After Lego Club, Griffin and his friend {C} colored Easter eggs. I will admit, it has been a few years since Griffin has colored eggs. We have had good intentions, however, it seems like we usually run out of time. I'm so glad we made the time to color them this year!

Even with tousled hair and Momma's inability to get the lighting right ~ this guy has the sweetest smile and kindest spirit of anyone I know. Thankful I get to be his Momma!

A Ride Through The Countryside.

Griffin and I joined our friend Ashley on a ride through our beautiful county. We were able to visit places we have never been before. It was a beautiful, breathtaking ride through the countryside as we learned about Goochland history. Ashley is one of the kindest, most giving people I have ever known. She is incredibly encouraging to this amateur photography and I appreciate every single nugget of advice she shares with me. I have SO much to learn and I'm enjoying the journey.

At The Park With Friends.

When Griffin was little we spent many, many, MANY hours at this park. The past couple of years we haven't been here much. It's so wonderful to get reacquainted with it. I believe the pear trees are even more beautiful today than they were last week.

Thursday ~ Griffin's Night To Cook Dinner.

It's Thursday night ~ Griffin's night to cook dinner! I tried to convince him to make a casserole, but he insisted he wanted to make hamburgers. Mike (aka - our grill master) walked him through all of the steps to make 'Griffy Macks'. I must say, he is a grill master in the making!

St. Patrick's Day

We had a little visitor this morning ~ our leprechaun gathered and left some things for Griffin that will go along with today's lesson.
