Since all of Griffin's grandparents live in Florida, they were unable to attend. Our dear, sweet, MOST WONDERFUL friend Carol offered to join Griffin at school as his "very special friend".
Ms. Carol and Griffin ...
This turkey is so cute and adorable ... each feather represented a child and they wrote down what each child was thankful for on their individual feathers. You can also see some of the food items the kids collected for the local food pantry.
Awwwwww ... look what Griffin is thankful for.
And this is a darling family tree project they created for this special day. The tree's greenery is Griffin's handprints and the apples represent his family members.
They do such fun and wonderful things at his preschool.

How cute everything is. They do such wonderful things at that school. And how great is it that Ms. Carol went with Griffin, so he would have someone special there. Looks like the kids have collected a ton of canned goods, too.
You seemed to have found an awesome preschool. The things they do with the kids and the families are great. And it's nice to have a great friend to step in when the grandparents can't be there.
My Amanda had our wonderful neighbor as her adopted grandparent at her first pre-school events like that before we moved my MIL here. There are ALOT of kids without the requisite grandparent or in some cases parent for these school events but the schools are wondeerful to welcome a substitute for anyone.
So glad you have such a gr8 friend in Ms.Carol. Kudos!

Sweet pictures...I know ya'll are so proud of Griffin! I think it is wonderful to have friends to step in when family is not available. My Mom's bestfriend already calls Mason her grandchild. I love that!
