Mike's Birthday Celebration
Mike will be out of town next week for his birthday. We had a few friends over tonight to celebrate with us. Instead of one birthday cake, Griffin and I decided he needed his three favorites.

VBS Buckets For The Kids!
We finished up Vacation Bible School at church last night. We had a lot of things to send home with the children at the end of the week including their daily workbook, trail guide, coloring sheets, crafts and goodie bag. I decided to make each in our class a bucket with their name on it so it would be easier for them to take everything home. We were incredibly blessed to have 19 children in our 4-year-old to kindergarten age class alone!!

Griffin and I decided to have a little something different for lunch while we are in town so we went to McAlister's Deli. We just ran into our neighbors Warren and Carol here, such a nice surprise. And, we just discovered they have a tea bar!

Griffin's Stuffed Grunt
Griffin decided he wanted to make a stuffed 'grunt'. He designed it, made a pattern, sewed it, stuffed it and then embellished it. I think he did a fabulous job!

Making Paper Boats!
After the movie Griffin and Branden decided to make boats. They had excellent ideas and then wanted to see how their engineered designs would hold up in water. They were very clever in their designs and the boats were sea worthy ~ who knew a dryer sheet could make such a great sail!
Move Time ~ Jurassic World!
Today Griffin, Branden and I went to see Jurassic World. It was a terrific movie and the boys had a really good time!

Zoo Pro Adventures ~ Goochland Library
