Our Christmas Village.

The decorating continued with us adding part of our Christmas village to the mantle.

Years ago Mike and I began to collect pieces for our Christmas village. We probably have 25-30 pieces plus alot of different accessories.

This is the first year we decided to decorate the mantle with the Christmas village pieces. Neither of us can figure out why we haven't done this before!

A look at our delightful little village ...

Though limited in space ... I think it looks pretty darn wonderful.

When I pulled the lighthouse out of the box to put it on the mantle, imagine my surprise to discover it is the Assateague, Virginia lighthouse! Just imagine, all those years ago when we bought it we never in a million years would think we live very close to this lighthouse. On Mike's 40th birthday last year we went to Chincoteague/Assateague and saw this very lighthouse!

A closer look at a couple of the houses

It warmed my heart yesterday watching Mike arrange the little people figurines ...

This is definately going to be a tradition from this year forward.

Love that Christmas village. We were going to put up ours since we bought some additions this year, but we put Mickey and Minnie up instead. And how funny about the lighthouse. That is really funny how that the lighthouse you have is so close to where you live.

Your village looks wonderful there on the mantle. What a great tradition. When Griffin is older he will always remember the village that was set up every Christmas.

I love your Village......I've been wanting to start collecting them for several years now but can't seem to choose which collection.

What's yours?
