Griffin Update.

Whewwwwwwwww ... that's me breathing a sigh of relief.

The prognosis from the doctor is constipation. All he saw on the x-ray was lots of stool packed in there ... gross I know ... but THANK GOODNESS!! He suggested an over-the-counter stool softener, Miralax. We are hoping that does the job.

I just wanted to let you all know how very much your kind words and prayers meant to us.

Griffin is such a great kid ... he's a rambuctious, full of life four-year-old boy. He surprises me everyday with the things he knows and the things he can do.

I'm so lucky to be his Mommy.

  2. When I read yesterday's post, my very first thought was - does he need to go to the bathroom? Every time my 3 1/2 year old daughters says her tummy hurts, I ask her if she needs to go to the bathroom. That is almost always the culprit. So glad this was the case for Griffin. When I found your blog last fall, it inspired me to start one for my girls!

  3. I was thinking it had to be constipation. I was going to suggest Miralax if it was. That stuff is great! I was able to use it during my pregnancy and my pediatrician said since Mason was having so much difficulty, that we may have to use that for him. It is really gentle and won't make him feel like he has diarrhea.

  4. Great news! I should have called you, sorry. But I'm glad it was something really minor with Griffin. Your posts on Washington, D.C. were wonderful. How exciting to be there for America's birthday. Someday we'll get there. Big hugs and kisses all around.

  7. Great to hear!
I got in the habit of giving the kids unsweetened apple sauce every night with dinner and it has kept them regular since. The fiber in it helps.
