Green Eggs & Ham.

Griffin's absolute favorite book right now is Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham".

Not only does he LOVE the book he has the DVD and watches it all the time. (Thanks Nana & Pop!)

After school yesterday he was relaxing on the couch with his book and watching the DVD at the same time.

Can you believe I found this brand new copy of the book at a church yard sale a couple of months ago for only a dollar?

So I asked Griffin last night what he wanted for dinner and he said he wanted green eggs and ham.

Well ... I made it happen!

Dinner's ready ... and we had green eggs and ham!

I like green eggs and ham!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-am!

Next time you are unsure of what to make for dinner ... may I suggest green eggs and ham.

  1. I don't know about the green eggs part...just the color makes you wonder. On St. Patricks day, my husband made Green Mac & Cheese and the girls wouldn't eat it because it looked funnny.

Missy, When I taught Kindergarten, I always cooked green eggs and ham after reading the book, "Green Eggs and Ham." Now I cook it for my grandchildren. They love it! My one and only grandson out of five grandchildren loves to collect Dr. Suess books.

I would make Green eggs and ham for my kids all the time when they were little.
    Brings back Sweet Memories :)

  4. Griffin is such a lucky little guy to have a mommy as sweet as you! It's so cute that you made him his favorite meal from a book! As for the eggs...not for me thanks.

  7. Wow- a great idea, and a brilliant book- a favourite in our house. I'll show this to my children! I've been reading it to mine since they were babies- the rhythms in Dr. Seuss books made them giggle madly, even before they understood the words!
