Good Friends. Good Times.

I can finally share this ... Mike has been out of town on a business trip for the past two weeks. He's been in Taiwan and we have missed him soooo much! He's flying home this morning and Griffin and I are headed to the airport to pick him up bright and early!

The past two weeks have certainly been lonely without Mike here. But I can say that Griffin and I literally "weathered" the storm together. The snow storm that is. We are so happy that he will be home.

My dear friend Carol invited Griffin and me over to their house for dinner on Wednesday night. They were having a birthday celebration for Sarah's 9th birthday.

This is the birthday girl ... sweet Sarah!

Her kids are SO good with Griffin. They are the older brothers and sisters that he doesn't have. This is Zachary (Griffin calls him Jackery) and Griffin snow sledding in their back yard.

Oooops ... Zach and Griffin took a little bit of a tumble in the snow.

Zach had a little shadow ... Griffin followed him everywhere!

Sarah riding a pizza pan down the hill. Carol is just the coolest and most imaginative Mom, ever! I never would have thought to use pizza pans.

I love that their neighborhood is full of kids that play together. Here we see Zach/Griffin and J/Sam getting ready to race down the hill. Sarah and L were waiting for their turn.

Wipe Out!

Wow ... just look at Sam goooo ....

Zach and Griffin going down the hill ...

Zach and Griffin coming back up the hill.

Carol, Allen, Hannah, Zachary, Sarah and Sam ... thank you for the wonderful time snow sledding and the amazing steak birthday dinner you included us in.

It meant the world to us!
