Dancing With The Stars.

First I have to say thank you everyone for all of your well wishes ... we are all feeling better now ... thank goodness!

As you may know, I am a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars. It premiered last night and I was sooooo excited!

Of course there was some major buzz about Jewel and Nancy O'Dell dropping out of the competition due to injuries. They were to announce their replacements last night on the show. Of course if you watch any of the entertainment shows you would have already known Holly Madison replaced Jewel. And Melissa Rycroft from The Bachelor replaced Nancy O'Dell.

I have to say ... before the show even started Jewel was my favorite on the list of contestants. Now ... I have a change of heart of course ... my new favorite dancing team is Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani. Not because she was dumped (by the jerk Jason) ... but because she was the best dancer last night. Did you see it? She only had 2 days to practice people. Is she a "star" ... I'm not sure about that. But I really was impressed by her dancing skills.

Other favorites from last night ...

Steve Wozniack (Apple co-founder) was hilarious!

Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower ... loved them ... I loved her when she was on "So You Think You Can Dance".

Chery Burke and her dance partner ... I know he's the "star" ... but I don't even know his name. They were AWESOME!

Steve-O and Lacey Schwimmer were pretty good too.

I didn't really "get" David Allen Grier ... I feel he was trying too hard to be funny ... concentrate on the dance!

Denise Richards ... she always seem so uncomfortable. And doesn't she know it takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown? She always seems to be frowning.

I enjoyed the premier episode ... I look forward to the results show tonight. I saw Cheryl Burke on The Rachael Ray Show and she said the elimination process was changing ... that will be interesting to see.

Well ... better go get Griffin to school. He missed all last week due to snow days. Can you believe it was 10 degrees last week and it's in the 80s this week ... crazy weather!

Happy Day ...

  1. I LOVE Melissa, I hope she comes shining through, and I think she's going to be a definite favorite. I fell asleep before I got to see her dance however. I saw Cheryl Burke though, and loved their dance, very impressive! Glad you are all well!

  7. I love it! My thoughts:
Denise Richards: stiff, looked really uncomfortable and it did not look like she and Maks liked each other.
LOVED Chelsie on SYTYCD, but don't think she and Ty will last.

you are right, that Melissa was great!
