Decorating our Christmas tree has always been one of the highlights of my year.
I love unwrapping the ornaments and remembering each and every single memory generated from each ornament. Mike and I have been together 23 years and we have many ornaments that are related to places we've been and things we've done.
Everytime we take a trip we make sure to get an ornament from wherever it is that we visit. I have alot of handmade ornaments as well ... and I just love them.
We use an artificial Christmas tree ... my favorite part? It's pre-lit! Woo Hoo ... we do not have to string the lights around the tree. Here we see Mike getting the branches all together and pulled apart.
Daddy is helping Griffin add the first ornament to our tree ...
And a'decorating we shall gooooooooo ....
I'll be honest ... I've always been pretty anal about decorating our Christmas tree. But this year ... I've decided to "let it go" and allow Griffin to decorate as he pleases. Never mind there are four airplane ornaments on one limb.
(Smile.)
And our tree in all it's glory ... the picture is a bit grainy because I tried to get it with the lights shining.
And finally ... we have this year's version of "Griffin with the Nativity".
Wait ... there's more ... read about our Christmas village in the next post.
The tree looks great. Griffin is a good decorator. Your trees always look great. I'm sure it was wonderful spending the weekend with Mike and Griffin just doing the Christmas thing. And of course, the picture of Griffin with the Nativity is sweet.
ReplyDeleteOkay, just wanted to congratulate you on an award you evidently don't know that you've won yet. Head on over to Susie Q....and claim your prize....
ReplyDeleteOh, G is growing so much... Looks like he is really enjoying the season this year.... I so wish my kids were small again....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tree. I wouldn't worry about the spacing of the decorations either...Christmas should be all about the kids anyway and the "reason for the season" of course :o)
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful. I rather like 4 airplanes on one branch...perhaps I'll do that on our tree. Well...I don't have any airplanes...but if I did...
ReplyDeleteLove your photo's! Nice lighting on your son with the Nativity set. Looking forward to seeing more of your paper piecing items!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Christmas!
