Maple Festival
It was an incredible day with sweet friends at the Highland County Maple Festival. We traveled back roads and mountain byways to visit and tour several sugar camps. It was an incredible experience to learn the process of making maple syrup, see how they tap sugar maple trees to harvest the sap and to witness a vanishing way of life. The mountains of Virginia and West Virginia were breathtaking! From the car, I believe I may have taken a picture of every red barn we passed. Thank you Clemons family for letting me tag along!!

Art History Class
Griffin's Art History class continues to focus on drawing portraits. He added additional facial features this week to the drawing he began at the last class. Care to guess who he says it looks like?

Wings Of Hope Ranch
A beautiful day with incredible people! Blessed by and thankful for the opportunity to serve at this fantastic ministry!
A bit of information from their website ~ Wings of Hope Ranch is a Christian non-profit organization that rescues neglected horses and rehabilitates them to provide a horse ministry to children facing conflicts or challenges, free of charge. We seek to love, encourage and share HOPE with everybody who comes to the Ranch, and we pray it is a place where all people feel welcome, safe and accepted, just as they are!

Enchanted Balloon Garden
We visited the Enchanted Balloon Garden at Regency Square. More than 30 balloon artists from all over the US came together to build this living tribute to their terminally ill colleague, artist Deborah Fellman, of Richmond. It is absolutely beautiful!!
