Art History Class ~ Pop Art

Griffin's 'Art History Class' studied pop artists today ~ Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Claes Oldenburg. I absolutely love the pop art drawing he made in class! I brought it home and framed it, and now it has a lovely new home on our mantle!

Cold Platform Ice Cream

After a couple of stops, and before heading home, we decided to try a new treat from Cold Platform Rolled Ice Cream. It was a treat just watching them make it!!

We learned rolled ice cream originated in Thailand in 2009. It is known as stir-fry ice cream in Thailand. The ice cream is made by pouring a base of sweet milk on an extremely cold (-31°) steel surface.

Japanese Steak House - International Dining

After bowling, we decided to experience lunch from another culture. We enjoyed a wonderful Japanese Hibachi meal. Martin, our hibachi chef, was fantastic! The kids enjoyed his incredible cooking talent! Sarah and I were so happy the kids all tried the shoyu onion soup, kanpai salad with sesame ginger and Griffin even ate the zucchini!

Bowling

Had a great day with some sweet people! First up - bowling! You can definitely have fun and learn at the same time. Our research tells us, early bowling may have began in Egypt around 3200 BC.
