Our friend Sylvia celebrated her 4th birthday with a Disney Princess Birthday Party.
When designing the custom banner for her party I decided to do a little something different. I added tulle to the paper to give it a three dimensional look
It was great fun making this for a very sweet little girl!

Griffin + Mike's Cub Scout Cake Auction ~ Minecraft Cake
My son's Cub Scout pack hosted their annual 'Blue and Gold Banquet'. During the evening a cake auction is held as a fundraiser. The scouts and fathers are asked to make a cake for the auction.
This year Mike and Griffin decided to make a 'Minecraft' themed cake. They added some paper Minecraft embellishments to the cake display for added appeal.
Great job guys!

Griffin's Diversity School Project
Griffin just finished up his Diversity Project. His assignment was to pick an ancestor that came from another country and dress the doll in traditional clothing. He chose to make a doll of German descent and he dressed it in a traditional Lederhosen. He did a really good job!

Jr. Lego League Team - Goochland Eruptors
This is from our first Lego League session last week ~ the boys worked together and voted on the natural disaster they wanted to research and build their Lego model on. After brainstorming alot of different natural disasters, they chose volcanic eruptions. And then they did more brain storming in regards to a team name. I love how they gathered together in a group and decided together. Their team name is 'Goochland Eruptors'. This is a GREAT team and I am really looking forward to this season to see where it leads us. Does anyone know a volcanologist, geologist or someone who has had first hand experience with a volcanic eruption living in the Central Virginia area that might be willing to discuss their topic of expertise with six amazing, inquisitive little boys?
