He's Leaving On A Jet Plane!

Got up at 5am to get these two to the airport in time for their flight south. Watching him leave with Grandma was like watching a big piece of my heart get on that airplane. The last thing he said to me was "Mommy I know you are gonna miss me but you know I'm gonna have so much fun. Love you Momma". Wonder where he's heard that a couple of hundred times over the past few days? They have already landed in Orlando and are on their way for a wonderful, fun filled two weeks of Grammy Camp. Love, Love, TRIPLE LOVE my little G-man.

Beautiful Sunday & Swimming!

What a fun family day ~ we attended a nice church service and enjoyed hearing the Nicaragua Mission Team share their pictures, stories and experiences. We decided on lunch at Hickory Notch Grill (yum!). We were torn between going to Lake Anna or swimming at the Y. With the storm clouds in the sky we decided on the Y. Thing is, it never rained. And then we came home and rested on the back porch with both boys in their hammocks and Bett and I enjoyed reading good books. Love summer living!

Man Of The House.

Griffin has been "man of the house" since Daddy has been away on the mission trip. On the first day I asked him what was on the front door. He said it was to protect us. He felt it necessary to secure the front door. Love my sweet, strong, smart little boy.

Stickers On The Window.

I just spent the last hour spraying Goo-Gone and scraping stickers off the window of Mike's company car. Griffin decided to decorate the window the other day with his Angry Birds stickers. He used to put stickers all over the Jeep windows, I was OK with that. He knows he is not supposed to put stickers on the windows of Daddy's car. When I asked him why he did it he told me it was my fault. I asked him how on earth it was my fault and he said "because you know I can't be trusted with nice things".

Mommy, May I Have Nutella?

Griffin: Mommy, where is the Nutella

Me: You are not going to eat just Nutella

Griffin: Why Not?

Me: Because it's not healthy to do that

Griffin: Well, I'll have a banana

Me: Okay

Griffin: I mean I'll have a banana with my Nutella so it will be healthy

{he gave that one some thought!}

Sunshine Tags ~ End Of Year Party!

My friend Heather asked me to make two versions of my Custom Sunshine Tags

She wanted larger tags to attach to sand pail gifts for her daughter's end of year party. She also wanted smaller tags to attach to popsicles to share with her bus students (she is a school bus driver)

I think they turned out bold, bright and pretty!

A Gift From Griffin - An Owl Necklace

Look what my sweet boy wanted to get me today ~ isn't it pretty? I'm not much of a necklace person but he saw this in Kohl's and insisted on getting it for me. He said "cuz Momma you love owls". He's right, I do. It reminds me of something my Momma would wear from the 70's. I love my sweet, thoughtful little guy.

Nicarauga Mission Trip

Beautiful words penned by my friend Jen:

What an overwhelming service this morning! Here are some pics from the commissioning of our mission team headed for Leon, Nicaragua early tomorrow morning. They have been bathed in prayer and we as a church are honored to have been a part of the work they are going to do. Can't wait to hear what God does!!

I created a custom banner, confetti and party sized banner for the event

Ayannah celebrated her 15th birthday with a custom Minnie Mouse Zebra & Hot Pink themed party!

I created a custom banner, custom confetti and also custom die cut name confetti for her!

Duck Dynasty Inspired Confetti!

Our family enjoys watching the TV program Duck Dynasty together. I was inspired to create this party confetti one night while watching it!

It makes me happy, happy, HAPPY!!

Griffin's Class Treat ~ Easter

My son Griffin wanted to take a treat to share with his classmates for the spring party at school. He absolutely LOVES Angry Birds so I found a cute Easter bunny themed Angry Birds image to add to the treats

Dee's Birthday ~ Shabby Chic

I was contacted by a sweet lady that was hosting a birthday party for her sister Dee. She wanted a custom banner and the theme was shabby chic. We decided to go with this pretty teal damask paper and added hints of gray.

Jordan's Birthday ~ Candyland Themed Party!

My friend Crystal asked me to create some party elements for her daughter's Candyland themed birthday party.

It was great fun creating this bright, rainbow colored set of party elements

I created a custom banner using rainbow colors of paper and tulle, popcorn box inspired treat boxes and custom confetti!

Bold Happy Birthday Banner ~ School Auction

A friend from a neighboring school called me about adding one of my banners to a Birthday Themed basket the PTA was auctioning off at her daughter's school. She wanted something simple, yet bold

This is what I came up with a very large HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner. I love being part of this event and I am so glad to have been asked to participate.

Easter Festival At Our Church

Our church celebrated Easter with a festival for the children this year.
The festival focused on the seven days of creation.
I made a banner for each day so the children would know where to go by following a map to each labeled table

I also created toppers for the cupcakes!

We had a great day celebrating Jesus' resurrection!

Cody's Birthday ~ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party

Cody celebrated his 9th birthday with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles celebration!

I made a custom banner, M&M treat bags & custom confetti

Happy Spring Banner!

My photographer friend Ashley asked me to create a Happy Spring banner to use in her spring mini sessions

Love the soft pastel colors and simple design of this banner set

Banner For Kaitlyn's Room

Griffin's best friend Kaitlyn celebrated her birthday and Griffin wanted me to make a banner for her bedroom. She loves light purple and the Eiffel tower.

Banner For Hailey's Room

Griffin's friend Hailey LOVES zebra print and hot pink

I made a custom banner to add to her bedroom wall

Kaitlyn's Gift ~ Mini Banner Name

I've been making full sized banners for birthday parties and other celebrations. My son's best friend Kaitlyn celebrated her birthday this past weekend and I decided to create a tiny name banner to embellish her gift bag.

Once her party was over she can easily remove the mini name banner from her gift bag and use it as a bedroom decoration!
